Transition

She looked back, her charcoal hair flowing past her shoulders as she turned her head. She turned for what seemed like an eternity, and as she did, her hazelnut eyes swept her surroundings. She was never more conscious of who she was or where she was than at that precise moment. For the first time, she looked back not to reminisce the moments that slipped out of her grasp all too quickly. No, she was saying goodbye to her fears and her hesitations. No one could stop her now.
